Yossi Sela – Managing Partner, Gemini Israel Funds

Yossi Sela serves as the Managing Partner of Gemini Israel Funds and sits on the board of a number of Gemini portfolio companies, including Allot, IXI Mobile, Mirage, and Saifun. His past board positions include CommTouch, Precise and Envara. In 1995 he served as the interim Chief Executive Officer of Ornet, which was a Gemini portfolio company. Yossi led that company until its acquisition by Siemens AG in September 1995. From 1990 to 1992, Yossi served as Vice President of Marketing at DSP Group. He later served as VP Marketing at DSP Communications, a spin-off of DSP Group.

Prior to DSP, he worked at Daisy Systems Inc. as a Marketing Manager.
Yossi spent 10 years in an elite intelligence unit of the Israel Defense Forces, reaching the rank of Major. He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. Yossi sits on the Board of Trustees of Tel Aviv University’s High-Tech Management School and the Recanati School of Business. He was recently named to the Managing Committee of the Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute of the Technion.

Carmel Sofer – General Partner, Gemini Israel Funds

Carmel Sofer is a General Partner at Gemini Israel Funds, dealing with all facets of the investment process, from deal sourcing to active board participation in portfolio companies. He sits on the boards of a number of Gemini companies, including Chairman of Outsmart. He joined Gemini after a distinguished career in the wireless and communications industry. Most recently, Carmel was the President of Comverse Europe, where he refocused strategy: increasing sales, enhancing Comverse's position in Europe and turning the operation to profitability and growth. Before that he was responsible for Comverse's operations outside of the US, including Asia Pacific.

In 1999, Carmel founded Starhome as a subsidiary of Comverse and built the company to profitability, with 40 first and second tier operating customers in three years. Starhome joined the Gemini portfolio in 2004 and Carmel continues to be an advisor to the company. Before Starhome, Carmel held several senior business development and marketing positions at Iturit Communications and Rokar International. A graduate in Electrical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Carmel began his career as a R&D manager developing GPS and mobile radio systems.

Yair Shoham – Partner, Genesis Partners

Yair Shoham is a Partner at Genesis Partners and sits on the board of a number of Genesis Partners portfolio companies, including Advasense, Intercast Networks, Discretix, InFone, Oree, RADWIN, and Resolute Networks. Yair has an in-depth understanding of US and Israeli corporate law and hands-on entrepreneurial experience. Prior to joining Genesis Partners, Yair helped establish Butterfly VLSI and led its sale to Texas Instruments. Yair joined Butterfly from VDOnet, which he co-founded in 1996 and where he successfully co-led the sale of VDOnet's technology to Citrix Systems.

Yair began his career practicing securities and corporate law, first in the US, where he developed an expertise in M&A’s and IPO’s, and then in Israel, where he was a partner at one of Israel’s leading law firms, Goldfarb, Levy, Eran & Co. Yair holds a JD from Loyola University School of Law and a BA from Haifa University.

Noam Bardin – CEO, Intercast Networks

Noam has co-founded Deltathree inc. (NASDAQ: DDDC), a leading international VoIP service provider, where he has served for the past 10 years in a variety of executive positions including as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and VP of Operations. Noam holds an M.P.A. from the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government and a B.A. in Economics from the Hebrew University.

Seth Haberman - Founder and CEO, Visible World

Seth Haberman founded Visible World in 1999 to transform advertising production and delivery to achieve greater relevance and effectiveness. Seth's innovative approach to video advertising has been recognized by leading industry experts including Jack Myers, who identified Visible World as one of the top 25 media innovators of 2003. Seth was also included in Media Magazine's 2004 "Top 100 People to Know in Media." Seth has been featured as a speaker at The MIT Forum, the RVC Technology Conference, and at the ANA's Advertising Management committee meeting on "Innovations that Marketers Must Be Familiar With."

Prior to founding Visible World, Seth was Founder of Montage Group, where he invented and licensed seminal non-linear editing technologies to leading manufacturers such as Avid and FinalCut Pro. Montage's innovative work earned an Academy Award for technological achievement in 1987 and an Emmy Award in 1993. Seth earned a BA in Physics and Computer Science from Columbia University.

Tim Hanlon - Executive Vice President, Denuo Ventures (Publicis Groupe)

Tim Hanlon is Executive Vice President/Ventures for Denuo, the futures consulting practice of advertising agency holding company Publicis Groupe, S.A. He is chiefly responsible for the solicitation, negotiation and oversight of the unit’s strategic partnership and equity investment activity -- focused exclusively on paradigm-changing “new media” platforms and technologies. In 2004, he was an inaugural recipient of Interactive Television Today’s Leadership in Interactive Television Award, and has been named as one of MEDIA Magazine’s “100 People to Know.”

Prior to founding the PGM Ventures practice, Hanlon was Senior Vice President/Director, Emerging Contacts for Starcom MediaVest Group, a global media services network of Publicis Groupe Media and parent holding company Publicis Groupe, S.A. He was chiefly responsible for all US client activity and agency initiatives in the field of emerging media technologies, including the firm’s ground-breaking TV 2.0 Practice, centered around evolutionary television platforms such as interactive/enhanced television, on-demand video, digital video recording, interactive program guide navigation, addressable advertising, and digital broadcasting/datacasting. Hanlon holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and a BA from Georgetown University.
